You have in front of the cover disk of a first group of legend Batacumbele.
ReplyDeleteHow to describe this bag? What is clear is that it is not Baroque, it does not come color effects, photos, drawings ... It is almost discreet, yet very elaborate.
The bottom of the cover photo could be part of a skin percussion. On the back are written the group name and album title.
"Batacumbele" has been a beautiful typographic research. The word fills the diagonal of the disc. The title comes in the middle of this word, it comes out right angles and much smaller. Last but not least, two letters of Batacumbele are equipped with arms that allow them to play a drum Bata.
One might well want to read "Bata con un poco de Songo" Cuban tradition with a touch of modernity. Indeed, the musical group is rich.
In the late seventies, Cachete Maldonado, Eric Figueroa and Eddie "Guagua" Rivera were very dissatisfied with the rhythmic patterns of the time they were bored farm ...
